MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING COURSES ONLINE

A collection of short online manual handling training courses available for Aged Care, Health Care, Construction, Warehousing and for Office Workers.

Every job requires manual labor, from stacking shelves to entering data into a computer to working with people in healthcare settings.

These tasks can increase injury risk if workers do them incorrectly. Even picking up a small package could cause a back injury.

SafeWork Australia recommends that employers get staff to take a manual handling course to help lower the risk of such injuries. Keep records of manual handling certification as evidence that training has taken place.

WHAT IS MANUAL HANDLING TRAINING?

Manual handling training teaches you how to identify hazardous manual tasks, complete risk assessments, find alternative methods, and use proper techniques for manual tasks.

This training focuses on identifying potentially dangerous manual tasks. Safework NSW defines a hazardous task as one that requires you to lift, push or lower, pull, carry, hold or restrain an object. These tasks could also include:

  • Stable force
  • Repetitive movement
  • Sudden force
  • An awkward or sustained posture
  • Vibrations

Register today if you are interested in the manual handling certification course, or if you need to renew your certificate.
